When Amy Winehouse was 0/1 month she was able to pick herself up meaning she was able to lift her head up slightly. When she was 6 months she was able to pass an object from both of her hands. When Amy was 9-10 months she was able to roll over

By the age of 12 months she could stand up by herself. At this age you become attached to your family members and you start recognizing familiar faces and unfamiliar faces. That’s exactly what Amy Whinehouse was doing she became more attached to her parents she had a range of reflexes such as sucking reflex. The quality of Amy Whinehouse attachment may affect her in the future emotionally.

At this age she was able to communicate with people meaning she was learning social roles and behavior within her family. At that age she wasn’t able to understand numbers and so on. When she was this age she was learning how to play with other children. Amy relationship with her family can influence how she is value, when she was nine her parents separated. She lived with her mother but on her on weekends she stayed with her dad and his girlfriend in Hatfield Health in Essex. For Amy Whinehouse as you can see it was stressful for her which led to her getting expelled from school.  At this age you are able to solve certain situations. This is the age she started writing her song. She went to another school but she ended up dropping out. At 16 her close friend Tyler James passed her demo tape to an A&R person

P2) Explain the potential effects of five different life stages, on the development of an individual

  • Cystic Fibrosis

Cystic fibrosis is a condition which the lungs and digestive system becomes blocked with thick, sticky mucus. This is caused by a defective gene. When someone does have cystic fibrosis it causes problems when it comes to breathing and digestion, over time the lungs might stop working because it keeps on getting damaged. Doctors say that there is one in four chances that the child will be born with cystic fibrosis. 1 in every 2,500 babies that are born in the UK has this disease. Doctors have found ways to reduce the effects of this disease but people who have this disease there life expectancy is reduced. Modern medical treatment has increased

the life expectancy for people with cystic fibrosis. When someone has cystic fibrosis it sometimes in there early childhood but the disease can still develop when there an adult. The

symptoms of this disease is chest infections, difficulty putting on weight, diarrhoea and shortness of breath.

Children that are born to mothers or fathers that have the gene will not have cystic fibrosis unless both parents have the gene. Just because their parents have the gene that doesn’t mean they have the condition because they only carry one faulty gene. Cystic fibrosis means that cells struggle to move salt and water across the cell wall. This then means that it can build a thick, sticky mucus in the body. If both parents have the gene doctors say there’s a 25% that every child they have will have this condition.

At the moment there’s no cure for cystic fibrosis but there are treatments to reduce the conditions and prevent any complications. Treatment that help are antibiotics (used to treat or prevent a bacteria infection) this prevents chest infection. You can take medicine to widen the airways there are also techniques to help clear the sticky mucus from the lungs. Also having a special diet and taking supplements to help malnutrition which is a serious condition that happens when someone diet doesn’t contain enough of nutrients.

  • Foetal Alcohol Syndrome
When a mother is drinking when she's pregnant this can affect the baby's development. This can cause mental and physical damage this is called foetal alcohol syndrome. This situation happens because the alcohol that the mother is drinking goes into the blood cells and goes to the baby through the placenta. The baby cant process the alcohol which means it damages the cells in the brain and other parts of the body. By doing this your also effecting the development of the womb. Some babies die in the womb or if they do survive they will have problems in there life.

  1. Children that have this condition have small heads they have poor growth they are smaller than the average birth.
  2. Distinctive facial features for example small eyes and a thin upper lip
  3. They have movement problems
  4.  Learning difficulties for example speech and memory
  5. Behaviour problems e.g. autism (a condition that affects social, communication and behaviour)
  6. Problems with liver
  7. Hearing and vision problems
Still to this day theirs no treatment to cure this condition and the damages to the body cant be reversed. If they find out that the unborn baby has this condition it can help because the doctors will be able to treat the needs of the unborn child.

  • Pollution
Pollution can cause a lot of health problems. Cars produce a lot of pollution because theirs carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds. People who live close to roads are exposed by this a lot and this is not good for them because it will affect there respiratory system which means they can get heart disease and cancer.

  1. Nitrogen dioxide cause lung disease.
  2. Particles can cause inflammation of heart and lung disease
  3. Carbon monoxide prevents oxygen in the blood

  • Peer Groups
The people you hang around with can have a impact on your attitude. When your a teenager(adolescence) you start to get influenced by people the same age as you. For example the way you act or dress might be influenced on your friends or the people that are just around you
  • Smoking
The substances that are in cigarettes are nicotine, tar and carbon monoxide. Each substance has a affect on your body. Nicotine affects your brain is you smoke a lot you will have symptoms such as craving and you find it hard to concentrate etc. Tar contains many chemicals it goes into the lungs and the blood vessels and can go to other parts of the body. Carbon monoxide affects the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood. The chemicals
in cigarettes can damage the blood vessels and the blood stream. This can cause heart disease, strokes and poor circulation in the legs. If your a smoker and you have children the smoke will also affect them they are more likely to have asthma or a ear, nose and chest infection. Smoking increases the risk of gum disease, tooth loss and a skin condition.

P3) Explain the influence of two predictable and two unpredictable major life events on the development of an individual

Predicted: A situation that is expected to happen for example going to school and going through puberty. These situations are predictable because the situations are designed to happen.

Predicted life changes

  • Starting school

This is a predicted life event. This stage in life can have a large effect on how someone develops in life. This is the stage that they start to make friends and being able to handle different situations in life. When your in school you learn different subjects and one of them is PE this is where you start to improve your physical development. When you're in school you also eat lunch therefor you will gain energy from the food that you will be eating. The next stage is intellectual development, they will gain this development from learning their teachers names and remembering the classrooms that they're supposed to go to. The last stage is emotional development because they will be away from the people that they are used to seeing which means they will feel sad and they will feel unsafe because there seeing different faces. But the positive thing is that later on they will become independent. Amy Whinehouse started to socially adapt to this change because when she 10 years old her and a friend made a music group called Sweet n Sour this shows they both had a common interest when it came to music. But she didn't adapt to school fully because when she was 14 she got expelled and never went back into education.

  • Marriage
When you're in a marriage you gain new experiences for example emotional attachments and experiencing intimacy. Your self-esteem might start increasing, you start thinking of building your own family. Also you should be feel scared of the fact of sharing each other's possessions and feeling less independent because it's two of you. But Amy Whinehouse marriage was completely different. Amy Whinehouse family and friends felt as if her and her husband will commit suicide because they were so concerned about the marriage. Her husband said that he is the one that showed Amy Whinehouse to cocaine and heroin. Amy Whinehouse and her husband Fielder Civil are both not good for each other as you can when they were together they would cut themselves “to ease the pain of withdrawal”. When they were married he went to jail he was charged of “pervert the course of justice”.
The landlord said that Amy Whinehouse paid him £200,00 to not turn up to court but her father also the manager that handles her money said that the money did not come from her.  Amy Whinehouse said that her “marriage was based on drugs”. But in the end they ended up getting divorced.

Unpredictable: Situations that take people from surprise situations that we don't expect to happen. For example divorce and death these situations happen but you don't how to react and it comes unexpectedly.

  • Illness
Image result for illnessWhen you're ill you adapt to your illness which means you're adapting to physical changes. Amy Whinehouse was handling with her substance abuse which meant that she cancelled shows. At first she went through a period that she was drinking a lot then she started using drugs and she lost a lot of weight. People think that because her grandma died that situation made her go into drinking and so on. She went to hospital because she overdosed, she was a victim of substance abuse this made her depressed, harm herself and also have a eating disorders herself she didn't know how to adapt to the situation that she was in. The media didn't help with Amy Whinehouse substance abuse the sun posted a video of Amy Whinehouse smoking but they said that she was smoking crack. Amy Whine went to rehab so that she could help herself but she didn't stay there for long there wasn't any difference when she came out. In the end she stopped taking illegal substances but this didn't help because she focused on drinking alcohol.

  • Bereavement
Image result for death Bereavement means losing someone for example from death. This is an unpredictable event becomes it come by surprise so it make the individual shocked they're not prepared with that type of situation. The feeling of loss and grief with effect them in a good way or bad way it can teach them a life lesson it will influence them later on in the future or someone times people lose themselves as an individual. This is what happened to Amy Whinehouse when she lost her grandma she turned to drinking because she didn't know how to act she wasn't used to her family and friends dying, she was prepared to let that relationship go that she had with her grandma. Amy Whinehouse wasn't able to adapt to the lifestyle that she lost her grandma.
